Dear Hiring Team,

Your posting describes the kind of work I do best: helping across multiple projects and taking on the random tasks that come up. Most developers want a narrow, well-defined brief. I’m wired the other way — I like being the person you hand the messy, varied, “can you also look at this” work to, and getting it done without much hand-holding.

That comes from being deliberately technology-agnostic. I’ve delivered full-stack applications in Ruby on Rails with Hotwire, in Python and Django, and in React and TypeScript, all deployed on AWS. At the Department of Science and Technology’s Advanced Science and Technology Institute, I worked across the whole stack — containerized services on Docker and EKS, automated build pipelines with CodeBuild and ECR, database optimization, and lifting unit-test coverage from zero to around 90%. On my own projects, like the Aqualytix water-monitoring platform and the live community app Kuryente Watch, I owned everything from front end to infrastructure and ops.

For ongoing, unpredictable work, what matters most is reliability — that a task handed off actually comes back done. I work in short loops: prototype, deploy, get your feedback, repeat, so you always see progress and can steer early.

I’d love to learn more about what’s on your plate and how I can help. I’m looking forward to discussing the work with you and finding the best way to get started.

Warm regards,

Joseph Karl Crisostomo
